Santa Barbara artist Barbara Galloway is a dedicated contemporary acrylic artist. She is attracted to the  abstract qualities found in nature's color, form, and texture. Although landscape plays a key element in her work, she does not consider herself to be merely a landscape painter. Her paintings also include still life, buildings, common household objects and  abstract work.

Barbara has always held an interest in painting and drawing. She took many classes during her school years and was the recipient of awards. She pursued a Masters of Fine Art at Texas Western College, now the University of Texas at El Paso.

Barbara is a member of or has been a member of the Santa Barbara Art Association, the Gold Coast Art Association, Goleta Art Association, Los Padres Watercolor Association and the Lompoc Art Association.

Her work has appeared in many  juried indoor and outdoor shows and is currently seen at the Santa Barbara Art and Craft Show Sunday Show, the Spring Ojai Music Festival, the Ventura Art Walk Series, Stoneworks Studio in Ventura and occasionally  at Lisa's Gallery in Manhattan Beach, Around the Corner Gallery in Ojai  CA.
